My inner critic shadows me to the point I’ve assigned a name: Poindexter. Turns out, that one step promotes actual awareness of Poinny’s handiwork which, in turn, returns the thinking steering wheel to my hands.

Another step? I fleshed out his persona, using a specific Hobonichi Weeks as my Goals bullet journal:

Naming your inner critic, and dressing him in flesh, yields a target to tame.
