| Reading: Championship activity comes in many forms. This one proved most satisfying to witness.
A touching scene transpired in Jordan earlier this month, at the WAFF Women’s Club Championship. A player suffered a wardrobe malfunction. Rather than take advantage of the woman’s predictament, the opposing players quickly stopped playing, allowing time for a fix. They shielded the impacted player, huddling around to keep her hidden, while she fixed her hijab.
Amazing what happens when folks with genuine self-respect—the requisite for respecting others—take center stage.
